Carlos & Christian trip to Lisses 2007

captures of Carlos and Christian trip to Lisses

saut de chat @ Evry from Carlos or Christian An excellent video of Carlos and Christian, two spanish Traceurs from Madrid, during their trip to Lisses (France) in 2007. Controlled movements, fluidity, big jumps… A really impressive parkour video from two good Traceurs ;-) !

Look at the awesome jump at 2:45 ! (gymnase -> piscine = gymnasium to swimming pool’s roof)

  1. Parkour reminds me of when I was a kid 40 years ago. I grew up in the Caribbean and I used to run the streets bare feet. I would run and jump off different obstacles while going to the store, or to my relatives. Sometimes I would run up the trees, climb them, then hop onto the ruff of a house and then jump off. As a kid I didn’t think about the danger and fear didn’t exist. Until a limb broke on me and I almost fell out of a 20-foot tree. It’s great to see that this activity is a sport. I wish to see more kids grow into a sport like this to stay active. Running and Jumping really helped me to develop my agility, strength and coordination as a child. Parkour would be a relly great activity for children.

Yes, I agree, and I hope one day we’ll learn it directly at school, as it is a way of moving which is really useful.

  3. So, has Lisses accepted it’s fate of being a Parkour mecca? Like, do the people there accept it, do they just ignore it? Do they call the cops? Do you have to lay low, or is it commonplace?

    Just curious.
