What is the purpose of this site ?
Do you like parkour videos ? I personally love them. I love watching good parkour videos, and seeing the statistics of the site, I’m not alone
I also find useful to find good videos, it can help for motivation, for training, or to find some new ways of moving / passing obstacles. So, this site was born to spotlight the best parkour videos, or, at least, videos I like and think could bring something to Traceurs. -
Ok, but what is parkour ? Traceurs ?
Please see the page “about” for more information about this art/sport. You can also visit Parkour.NET.

I can’t download videos of your site
I’ve put a kind of security to avoid hotlinking. Bandwidth cost a lot, and I provide a lot of videos. If you want to download a video of parkour-videos.com, you need to download it from parkour-videos.com, and not from any other website who would directly put a link to the video instead of the page. Simply download the video by doing “right click, save as” from the page of the video.

I have made a video and I would like it to be published on parkour-videos.com
Videos are selected by me, and actually, I don’t want beginners videos. If you have trained during 2 weeks, made your first video and want it on parkour-videos.com : don’t waste your time in contacting me, your video won’t be published here. You should better take more time to train instead of filming.
But, if you have made a good training video, a tutorial, a report, a parkour trip to a different city/country than yours or participated to a meeting, I’ll be probably interested. Submit me your video with all details you have about it : name of the Traceurs present on the video, name of the Team(s) present, date, director and editor, description, city and country, link to your personnal parkour blog or website if you have, link to a topic if you have posted it on a forum (I prefer Parkour.NET
, but any other parkour forum will probably be ok), etc.
If you can also give me a download link to the video, I will upload it on parkour-videos.com and so, it will have an alternative download link (use rapidshare.com, megaupload, yousendit.com or any other upload service).
It can take a while for your video before being published here, please be patient. If you don’t get any answer after 1 week, send ma a mail again, don’t hesitate. -
I’ve found a good video which is not yet on the site, how to submit it ?
If you have found a good parkour video, you can send me the link and all details you have about it by contacting me. I will watch the video and decide if it has its place on the site or not. If I believe that the video should be on the site, I will create a screenshot, try to get more information about it, write a description and add a download link and publish it.

I’ve submitted a comment but it doesn’t seem to appear ?!
Comments are now welcome on parkour-videos.com and you can give your opinion about all the videos if you want, but you have to be polite, to keep your comments constructive and to not spam or flood. I will delete all comments which does not fit those basic rules. Additionnally, your comment(s) must be in a correct english.

I’ve downloaded a video on your site but it doesn’t work
I personally use and suggest you “K-Lite Mega Codec Pack” which contain all the most used codecs plus a great video player : “Media Player Classic“.
When I provide a download link, I usually (almost always) provide additional information about the video file.- .flv : FLV is a flash video format which is the most used on the Internet to diffuse videos. Youtube, DailyMotion, Google video and a lot of other sites who diffuse videos use this format. When I don’t have a better video format, I download the .flv file from Youtube or other sites and then upload them on my server, so it’s easily for you to download it. There are a lot of free software available on the web to play those files, and a search on Google can help you to find one
- .avi and .wmv : most videos players play this file format, Windows Media Player for example. You may need some codecs to play .avi videos, like DivX, Xvid etc. Google will help you to find them
- .zip : sometimes, videos may be compressed under zip format. Before playing the video, you’ll need to extract it from the archive using a software. I usually use 7-Zip which is free and easy to use, but if you have WinZip, WinRAR or any other software which does this job it will work.
- .mov : the most known mov video player is QuickTime from Apple.
- .ram or .rm : the most known RealMedia video player is RealPlayer.
I usually check videos before uploading them on the server, but you may find corrupted files. In this case, please notify me so I can fix it.
Note that I won’t answer mails asking how to play videos, how to extract a video from a zip archive or anything else, it’s not my role and there are already enough websites and forums who explain that. - .flv : FLV is a flash video format which is the most used on the Internet to diffuse videos. I have a better version of the video you’re proposing to download
Most of the time, Traceurs post their videos on Youtube and then on forums without providing a download link to the video. In this case, I simply download the video from Youtube and upload it on the server of parkour-videos.com. Videos from Youtube and co have always a ~ “bad” quality than the original video. If you are the author of the video, or if you simply have a better quality than the one I’m providing for a video, please let me know, send me a mail with a link where I can download the video in better quality, I will add it to the post.

I don’t want my video to be downloadable or I don’t want it on parkour-videos.com
- I have provided a link to download your parkour video but you don’t want it to be downloadable, you only want it to be viewable online. Ok, no problem, drop me a mail to explain me that and I’ll remove it, but just for your information : if I’ve found a download link to the video, I’m sure others will find it also.
- I have published a video you have made but you don’t want it to be on parkour-videos.com. Most videos come from Youtube, Google video, DailyMotion etc. and usually those website give the opportunity to embed videos on other sites. When you upload a video on those sites, you sometimes have the choice to disallow other sites to embed your video, it’s an option. So, if you don’t want it on other sites, please choose this option.

I’ve found a broken link
Sorry for this, I’m not perfect

The site has changed a lot. At its launch, it uses TextPattern but now it uses WordPress. Videos were available at this url : http://www.parkour-videos.com/videos/ , then they were available at the root : http://www.parkour-videos.com/ and now they’re available at http://download.parkour-videos.com/ and it shouldn’t change in the future. I apologize for this, but it was needed. I’ve removed all the videos file which were not present in a post on the site. They should come back when I’ll publish them in a post.
If you find a broken link, please notify me by sending me a mail. Give me the URL of the broken link and the error message if you get any. I’ll try to fix it. -
There are a lot of english faults
Sorry for this, I’m french

Also, I usually take most of information from forums, Youtube etc. and I copy the faults… :-S
If you want to correct some texts, please give me the corrected texts by mail. -
I’ve sent you a mail a while ago and you never answered me
I’m sorry for this. The fact is that I’m often busy and that I forget things rapidly. Send me a mail again, precise that you have already sent me a mail (if you can give me the date also, it’s better), and you’ll probably get an answer. Don’t forget to be polite, say “hello” at least, or don’t expect an answer
If you have any questions which have not been answered on this page or on parkour.net, feel free to contact me.
