Pre-historic Parkour video

old parkour video screenshots

old parkour video - a man jumping A really old and mysterious video of a man moving like actual Traceurs while parkour didn’t seem to exist yet at this time. I don’t know the date of the filming nor the name of the man on the video. He is maybe a firefighter or… what ? The fact is he has some particular capabilities and moves really fast and efficient. If you have any more details about this video or a better version of it, please let a comment ;-)

Edit : The video seems to come from a documentary film named “Gizmo!” (1977) directed by Howard Smith.

A compilation of man inventing strange contraptions from the 1920’s through 1950’s.

  5. that jump at the very end was just ridiculous.. and i mean that in a good way.

  6. WOW!

This guy didn’t even have trainers!!!

I’ve just stumbled into this stuff - I was looking for inspiration for some club wear designs and I came across a Parkour video on YouTube…

I really couldn’t believe my eyes at some of the things you can get up to!

Anyway, I’ll try and get some t-shirts suitable for the free movement that determines the grace and power of Parkour.

I’ve put up a blog about it too - I was that impressed!

Maybe I can get some constructive comments back?

    Party on!

  7. Er, newbie question - what’s the difference between the terms ‘Tracuer’ and ‘Parkour’?

I’m assuming not much, along the lines of ‘Plimsoles’, Running Shoes’ and ‘Trainers’.
